The "Tomo3D - Video Contest" is a step of Dynematica, a company working with 3D graphics.
Dynematica is developing Tomo3D, an educational software line to physics teach in the secondary 2nd grade schools. The new Tomo3D approach to the teaching use as primary resource the visual representation and the computer graphics as a powerful tool to represent even the hardest notion in a simple way. |

Contest Subject and Object | |
|---|---|---|
|
Realization of video clip for 14th physics phenomena, the maximum duration is 30 seconds,
as accompanying material for the multimedia physics software Tomo3D - Physics.
The clips will be linked to a simulation of physics phenomena in 3D environments and they will show to the student an everyday life scene in which it is possible to observe the phenomenon he is studying. |

Phenomena List
|
|---|
| 1 - Uniform Motion | The uniform motion is a motion along a straight line travelled at constant speed. |
|---|---|
| 2 - Accelerated Uniform Motion | The accelerated uniform motion is a motion on a straight line travelled at constant acceleration. |
| 3 - 2-Dimensional Generic Motion | The 2-dimensional motion is a type of motion that can be expressed by the combination of two different motions that DO NOT interfere with each other. |
| 4 - Inertial System | A system can be called inertial when it is still or it moves with uniform motion. |
| 5 - 1st Newton's Law - Law of Inertia | If a body is still or moves of Uniform Motion, it means it is not affected by forces or the sum of the forces acting on it is equal to zero. |
| 6 - 2nd Newton's Law - Fundamental Law of Dynamics | The acceleration of a body is directly proportional to the sum of the forces applied on it and inversely proportional to the mass of the body itself. |
| 7 - 3rd Newton's Law - Law of Reciprocal Actions | The third law of Dynamics allow us to understand how Forces show them up always in pairs! |
| 8 - Momentum | The impulse of a force applied to a body is equal to the variation of the momentum of the body itself. |
| 9 - Collisions | Collision identifies a hit between two or more bodies characterized by strong forces in a very short time lapse. |
| 10 - Mechanical Work | The mechanical work performed by a force is the dot product between the force vector and the displacement vector. |
| 11 - Kinetic Energy and Potential Energy | Energy is considered to be the attitude of a body or system to perform work. |
| 12 - Translational Static | A mechanical system is in a state of translational equilibrium when the resultant of forces acting on the system is zero. |
| 13 - Lever | The lever is a simple machine with a rigid pole that turns around a fulcrum. Two forces acting on it: the resistant one and the applied one. |
| 14 - Others Simple Machines | A machine is any device used to modify the intensity or direction of an applied force. The simple machines can not be simplified into more basic machines. |
